"My website really talks to my customers..."

I was extremely excited to see my business' very first website go live last year. Working in DVD and Videogame rental, it was a relatively risky move for me to start offering my services online, but with the DVD rental market changing all the time and some of my larger, more established competitors transfering their serivces online, I felt that it was a necessary move to make for the success of my business.

The website had been up for a few months and although I had done some business from it, it really wasn't setting the world alight. There was something missing from the site that I just couldn't put my finger on. And then it dawned on me, whenever people came into my shop, I was always on hand to offer advise on the latest releases etc, on the website there was nothing like that... and I couldn't recall it on any of my competitors websites either.

I called my web hosting company, 5G Communications to get some advice and to see if there was anything I could do in the way of offering my online customers advice and guidance to making a choice. They advised me about a concept that more and more businesses had started to employ on their websites, called Web Audio. I must admit, I hadn't heard the phrase before but when it was explained to me, the concept did ring a bell.

It sounded like the ideal solution for what I was trying to achieve on my website so I decided to give it a go. 5G helped me throughout the process, helping me to write the scripts for what I wanted to say on my website and even getting in a professional voice actor to read it all out.

Web Audio works fantastically well, my customers log on to the website and are immediately greeted with advice on the latest releases and recommended movies and video games. It certainly gives my website something that I feel my competitors lack and helps me to promote my more profitable products, which is great news for my business.
