Have to put a big thanks out to Andre and all the guys at 5G Communications, who really helped me through a potentially sticky situation!
As a main focus of my company lies in research, the internet is an integral factor within my business, so when my broadband suddenly died, you can imagine how my heart sank. I'm no technology expert so I rarely know what to do in such situations. All of my business is based on the internet, with my staff using it constantly for research and generating content, so with the broadband out, I had 20+ employees all sitting around with nothing to do, I was losing hundreds of £s worth of labour with every hour that went by.
Panicking, I got straight on the phone to my broadband provider, 5G, to find out what on earth was going on. I spoke to Andre who initially didn't make me feel much better when he said that he hadn't been experiencing any broadband issues. He did ease my worry, though, by assuring me that he would look into the problem and try and find a solution.
A few minutes later, I received a call back from Andre telling me that he had found the route of the problem. It would seem that our router had been inadvertantly reconfigured. He said that he would get one of the engineers to work on reconfiguring the router once more, and that if the problem persisted to make sure to call him back...
I didn't need to!
Within minutes, my broadband was back online, as if nothing had changed. Everyone went back to work and normal business was resumed. I can't tell you how relieved I am to know that I have a provider that I know I can rely on to step up to the mark whenever I have a problem with my broadband service.
