5G were approached by Renaissance Ltd who were quickly expanding and were soon to outsize their existing premises. With aggressive expansion plans a new building was quickly sourced to accommodate more people. 5G were called in as the new building had no network connectivity in place.
After a survey of the new site it was quickly determined that some where in the region of 200 network points were going to be required to allow Renaissance to have the right network in place for today, but to also consider the expansion that was imminent.
The engineering manager at 5G put together a project plan with SLA's that were agreeable by both parties and a start date was organised. From this point it was down to the 5G engineers to run 196 cables through the sub floor and terminate them at modules in the designated floor boxes. At the communication room, each cable was terminated onto patch panels and a diagram was put together identifying the distribution of the cables, each one uniquely numbered for easy updates and changes. After installation, each and every cable was tested for throughput to ensure that no problems would be encountered once the hardware was installed.
Now Renaissance has a strong and reliable cabling network across their business, designed to their exact specifications, enabling their IT team to make changes easily and without complications. The network is easy to add new equipment to as 5G planned for future development and provided suitable additional wiring to cope with expansion. The Cat 5e network at Renaissance will provide many years of trouble free networking.
Objectives:
Renaissance needed to ensure that when they upgraded to their prestigious new offices that their communications system and data network, which is critical to their operation, was reliably installed and fully operational ready for their "Go Live" Date. 5G were chosen to undertake the project due to their track record in successful implementation of IT Infrastructures.
Solution:
A project team of highly dedicated people including Renaissance IT manager, 5G Project co-ordinator and a team of cabling engineers were assigned the task of fulfilling the requirements.
Results:
Completing the project on budget and on time 5G installed 196 network points meaning Renaissance now has a strong and reliable cabling network across their business. Designed to their exact specifications, their IT team are able to make changes easily and without complications. The network is easy to add new equipment to as 5G planned for future development and provided suitable additional wiring to cope with expansion. The Cat 5e network at Renaissance will provide many years of trouble free networking.
