From Free Analysis to Cheaper Calls...

Groove Heart Ltd had been using the same old, dated telephone system since the birth of their company in 1998. Buying the system from new, over twelve years ago, Managing Director Geoff Cates admits that he was stuck on the idea that his system was still relatively new. Acting, on the off chance, on an email from 5G Communications, Groove Heart are now benefitting from a new system AND cheaper calls.

The NEED:

Groove Heart Ltd are a promotions company based in Kent. As a relatively new company, they had the advantage of starting life with all brand new state of the art equipment around them. As the years have passed, however, the company has fallen behind in terms of the equipment and modern technology within their office, much of which has almost become obsolete.

MD Geoff Cates explains how the company had come to find themselves with an office full of ancient equipment: "It was all brand spanking new," comments Geoff. "Coming into the world of business as a new company, we wanted to be fully prepared and have as much of an advantage over our older, more established competitors from the off. Twelve years later, it was only when I actually stopped to have a look around at some of the equipment that we were using that I realised that I had been living under false pretences, always believing that our equipment was new. It wasn't anymore, it was old! Then a few days later, I received the email from 5G"

The SOLUTION:

5G received a telephone call from Groove Heart Ltd, in response to an email that had been sent out the previous week, offering our partners a free analysis of their office communications. It was explained to us that the company's office equipment had been allowed to go stale over twelve years without upgrade.

We sent one of our engineers over to their site and what he found was very interesting; though the office equipment had been allowed to grow obsolete, the company had actually taken care to maintain a very powerful broadband solution. Utilising this, we were able to advise Groove Heart towards an IP enabled telephone system which would not only keep the company up to date with the latest technology, but would also enable them to make cheaper calls through the use of VoIP technology.
