What is a VPN?

A virtual private network (VPN) provides remote offices or individual users with secure access to their organisation’s network. A virtual private network can be contrasted with an expensive system of owned or leased lines that directly connect two sites. The goal of a VPN is to provide the organisation with the same capabilities as a large scale business, but at a much lower cost.

5G VPN solutions take away the concern of technology implementation. We understand that every company has unique requirements, therefore we have built a base solution that allows organisations to add customised modules where appropriate. Sound advice on making the most out of your VPN is provided throughout every step of the process.

Virtual Private Networking is currently the biggest growth area of corporate networking and by utilising 5G as your technology partner, you are sure to maximise the host of opportunities and advantages it provides.

With the advent of emerging technologies such as IP Telephony and Video Conferencing VPNs are not simply used for data. Voice VPNs are growing in popularity as organisations look for secure, quality assured ways in which to deliver voice traffic between offices.

The Benefits of a VPN...

Virtual Private Networks offer many benefits to the end user, take a look below at the advantages to be taken from our managed VPN service:

  • Allow you and your employees to access company documents network wide.
  • Home workers and satellite offices able to share the same company resources as people in headquarters.
  • Guarantee the security of data exchanged between locations.
  • Multiple connectivity options including ADSL, ADSL 2+, Bonded ADSL and SDSL.
  • Integrated secure internet access via the VPN.
  • Allow you to increase your productivity by giving immediate access to resources whilst allowing you to cut operational costs.
  • Utilise a low cost solution for video conferencing, VoIP and similar network based solutions.
  • Prioritise traffic and guarantee bandwidth by utilising 5G QoS (Quality of Service) across sites.

So, what Managed VPN Solutions do we offer?

There are two types of VPN options to choose from:

IPSec VPN

Provides VPN Connectivity to all sites WITH internet access.

IPSec uses 10% of the bandwidth for encryption and is expensive if additional locations are added after initial setup, as all routers need to be reconfigured.

All the offices will have their own connection to the head office, therefore data passing between remote offices will pass through the head office.

IP VPN

Provides VPN Connectivity to all sites with NO internet access.

You will require an extra connection for internet access which will provide a single point for administration if you use webfiltering. IP VPN has no need to encrypt data as your network is protected behind our network which provides faster bandwidth and additional security. IP VPN is flexible and expansion is easy.
