Handset not working?

Of course, if you are having continuous faults with your telephone system equipment, we want to help...

But before you call us, there are some simple troubleshooting checks that you can carry out to eliminate all possible, fixable causes. Take some time to have a look at our troubleshooting tips, below:

 

CHECK ONE: Connectivity...

Make sure to check that your handset is connected properly both at the base of your phone and on the actual handpiece, itself. Try disconnecting and reconnecting all cables, before trying your handset once more.

 

CHECK TWO: Check handset display...

Have a look at the display of your handset.. Does it display everything that it should?

  • Time
  • Date
  • Extension Number
  • Interface Options

If there is a genuine fault with your handset, there may be an error message or simply no display.

 

CHECK THREE: Hard Reset..

If your hanset has frozen or you are getting no response or functionality, you might try a hard reset.

Disconnect/unplug your phone, wait a minute and plug back in. Try using the handset again to see if you get any response.

 

Getting alarm sounds?

A common fault that we have found, is that users are getting an alarm sound when trying to dial out..

This occurs if you press '9' too many times before dialling and will not cease without unlocking. To cancel the alarm, simply press '565' and it should stop immediately.
