But before you pay out for an expensive engineer, you might like to try our handy telephone system troubleshooting tips...

We have listed some of the common system faults that we have experienced, many that can be simply simply resolve. So have a look through to see if there just might be a simple fix to your problems.

Telephones not ringing?

  • Ringer volume could be too low.
  • Call Forwarding may be turned on.
  • Handsets may be faulty; switch handset and try again.

 

Unfamiliar dial tone?

 Unfamiliar dial tones are not generally caused by systems faults. You could be getting different dial tones if you:

  •  Add a new system feature or service to your line.
  • Have new voicemail messages.

 

Display not showing correctly?

  • Possible power fault, unplug and replug the telephone cord.

 

Display time and date incorrect?

  • Make sure that your time and date settings have been set.

 

Phones not working?

  •  Check power cables are connected properly.
  • Handsets may need to be reset; unplug and replug handsets.
  • Telephone cord could be defective, replace cord and retry.
  • Handset could be defective, change handset and try retry.
  • Possible problem with your control unit; switch ports and retry.
